Cloud Computing
Define Cloud Computing
The on-demand IT service delivery typically over the internet, from power of processing to storage to applications, on a pay as you go basis is known as cloud computing.
Companies, rather than having their own centers of data or infrastructure rent access to anything-applications to storage to cloud service provider. This way companies can avoid the complexity of owning and maintaining their own IT infrastructure and thus also the upfront costs arising from them. They can simply pay for the service when they want to/need to use it. The cloud services, in turn can benefit from various economies of scale by providing the same service to a number of different customers.
There are ample number of cloud computing services available in the present market now starting from storage networking to processing power to processing of natural language, artificial intelligence to basics like standard office applications.
Technically any service that doesn’t require a person to be physically present near the computer hardware can be delivered through cloud computing.
Famous companies like google and Netflix rely on cloud computing services, to host all their data and run all their data in the cloud.
